Human Body Users Manual

What if your birth included a “Human Body User’s Manual”?

The pursuit of Health, Healing & Happiness; begins with Education, Empowerment & Execution.

Dr. Martha Nessler

What if your birth included a “Human Body User’s Manual”?

There is a significant lack of education on the human body and it’s function…I can’t help but think how this would all be different if we came with a user’s manual!

Although it’s likely that the majority of people wouldn’t take the time to use the manual anyway!

The “Human Body User’s Manual” would have to be an easy read, simplified and digestable.

Congratulations! You have been given a beautiful gift, a human body.

It is important to realize you can not make any returns  or exchanges on your human body and that you were created exactly as you were to be created, your Creator made sure of that.

Now that you have your human body it is imperative that you understand you are responsible for the love, care, and attention needed by your human body; the upkeep of your human body is solely your responsibility.

You are responsible for the amount of love and respect your human body receives, do not expect others to love  and respcect your human body the same as you love and respect your human body.

Knowing this truth, it is important to take into consideration anything and everything that is recommended to you about your human body before you make decisions considering your human body.

Remember, you only get one human body and there is a strict no return and  no exchange policy.

Everyday Function:

Your human body possess an innate intelligence and is self-governing & self-healing.

Innate Intelligence assures your heart will beat, your lungs will breathe, your food will be digested, your legs will move your body, your fingers will type, and all other internal and external function is under the control of the central nervous system; similar to universal intelligence assuring the sun will rise and set, your internal functions will occur.

The central nervous system is the master system and directs all other functions of the human body, it is wise to have your nervous system assessed regularly to assure all messages are being relayed from the nervous system.  It is important to know that stress impairs the function of the nervous system and effects the human body’s ability to self-govern and self-heal.  There are seven areas of stress that have an effect of the function of your human body: chemical, physical, emotional, familial, financial, spiritual, and environmental.

Stress comes in two forms eustress or good stress and distress or negative stress.

The human body will send you signals when it is in a state of stress or dis-ease whether it is eustress or distress.  These signals come in the form of, but not limited to: diarrhea, aching head, sore muscles, constipation, palpitations, or other maladies and it is imperative that you acknowledge the signal and seek immediate balance.  These signals are the number one communication your human body has with you, please do not “shut them off” instead “balance them”.

The truth about stress is some of it is within your control and other stress is beyond your control–do your best to not contribute to the interruption of your human body’s function via unnecessary stressors.

Everyday Maintenance:

Body Fuel:

You are responsible for what you put into your human body, the fuels you put into your body will determine the function you will receive from your body; “organic fuel” is recommend for enhanced performance.  Your human body is organic within nature and utilizes “organic material” fuel, which is why consuming “whole foods” is the best fuel for your body.  You are not “man made” and “man made fuel” may impair function.

Organic fuel is a term for all the fuel that comes from the earth and when “organic”, “grass fed”, and/or “natural”  can be used, do so, it is the purest form of fuel.

Body Function:

Your are responsible for all your human parts both inside and outside, remember the internal function is governed by Innate Intelligence but, you are still in charge of any interference and maintaining integrity.

Your human body needs to be kept moving … motion is life.  The more you keep your body moving early on the more your body will move later.  The limbs of the human body require motion externally to stay lubricated internally.   Your thoughts control your reality, keeping positive and motivating thoughts will empower and inspire your human body to function better, think of it as fuel for the mind.

Dis-Ease and Emergency Management:

In the case of dis-ease or even disease it is important to remember “there are no returns or replacements” it’s easy to forget when adrenaline is rushing and your human body is in “flight or fight” mode and trying to save your life.   Even in an emergency, do your best to stay in control of your human body and seek to become properly balanced.

It is advised that you seek and utilize “organic and natural solutions” first and that you have your nervous system assessed by a healthcare professional, such as a chiropractor to assure that there is no interference with your Innate Intelligence.

In case of an extreme emergency, when your human body is in danger, it is important to have council pre-established so that you have someone who can help to make decisions for you and your human body.   It is advised to establish your “council” in advance and making sure they to understand the importance of education, empowerment, and execution and have a fundamental belief in a human’s right to Health, Happiness, and Healing.

Do remember that your human body was created with intention and came with all necessary parts and organic chemicals, it is not lacking.

If it is recommended that you remove a piece of your human body, it is your responsibility to gather all necessary knowledge and to ask a plethora of questions and assure that you have exhausted all possible “natural solutions” because you cannot just go buy a spare part.  Additionally, it is extremely important to realize that if in the event of an emergency, removal of a component of your human body such as an organ becomes necessary in order to sustain life, then certain and necessary modifications will need to occur because every aspect of the human body is important!

If you are recommended a “man made chemical” for your organic function please realize that it is your responsibility to assure that you have learned what the chemical is for, why you need it, long term side effects, and any other information as it pertains to the “man made chemical” and it is advised that you seek “natural solutions” when possible.

MOST IMPORTANT PLEASE remember:  you are solely responsible for you human body and there is a strictly no returns, no exchanges policy!

“The time has come for individuals to take back the reigns of health care and steer their individual journey to Health, Happiness, and Healing”.

Are You Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places?

I have always heard that all people are created equal and more and more I am finding the validity of that exact statement.  I am not denying that there are factors which separate individuals and give us our own individual set of characteristics, but the one thread that ties us all together is the pursuit of love.  Each and every person I have ever encountered is looking for the same thing, love.  Seeking to find someone to love them and in turn someone to love.  Just as common as it is for an individual to seek love, they search relentlessly for something that is right below their nose or more clearly right below their skin.

Self-love is not a concept that is touched on much in society, and truthfully I am the only person I have heard speak of it in such a way that emphasizes the importance as it pertains to a healthy existence.  In society, we are taught to be selfless early on and I do believe in the importance of serving others and reaping what you sow is a key aspect of a healthy life, a more rewarding life.  But more importantly, I know the importance of loving yourself and I believe that loving yourself more allows one to serve at a higher level because they are serving selflessly and not seeking or needing to be filled up.

More and more I see it in my interactions with coaching, friendships, patient – doctor, and daily conversation, that people have a lack of self love.  A couple times a day I encounter an individual looking for love – love from a significant other, children, friend, even their job and the list goes on.  Rarely to I hear acknowledgment from another person that they are seeking to love themselves more.  This really is tragic considering loving oneself with one hundred percent self- acceptance, self-image, and self-respect is the key to receiving love in abundance in all relationships.

The law of giving and receiving and/or reaping and sowing is perfectly applied in the aspect of love.  The more love you give yourself the more love you will attract into your life, therefore creating an overflow of love to share with others.   All too often people give and give and give to others making sure they “feel the love”—but the one person they forget to love is themselves.  It’s a common misconception that you are to put yourself last and to fill up another with love.  It leaves you with the misconception that another person must create love for you and that another’s love has authority over you.  This pattern leads to a road with no real destination, because another cannot love you more than you love yourself.

Breaking the cycle in your own life will cascade into the lives of those with whom you are in a relationship.  It all starts with a willingness to create abundant love in your life above and beyond any other person, yes, to fall in love with yourself, your innate being before you fall in love with another.  To be able to see yourself as the perfect being you were created and to selflessly love yourself as you would another human being.  Authentic love of yourself will create the possibility for you to attract authentic love into your own life, allowing your love to spill over into the world.  You owe it to yourself and the world to start today and fall madly in love with your innate self—purely, madly, deeply.

Choose To Be Passionate

Seen in the October 2012 issue of the Chiropractic Journal (http://www.thechiropracticjournal.com/news17.php?M=october&Y=2012)

Just like anything in life, being passionate is a choice. Everyone possesses a dormant spark of passion, just waiting to be ignited when given permission to take the reins. Passion is the fuel that propels individuals in the fulfillment of personal purpose. When they set their inner passion free they begin to illuminate the world with their spirit. Passionate people allow internal guidance to take the lead and guide their experience in their external environment. Simply put, they let their heart lead.

Passion is intense and vibrant, uncontrollable and uncontainable. Passion is an energetic expression of an individual. Passion illuminates your purpose and expands your mission field. The energy around passion is intriguing, contagious, and energizing. In passion lies the secret to loving more, serving more, doing more and in turn having a life that’s more than you could have ever dreamed because energetically you’re creating more. It’s this internal energy that allows people to create the life of their dreams. Passion is the fuel that both perseveres and endures.

Passionate individuals have the ability to light up a room with the energy of life that emanates from within, fully expressing their innate. It isn’t that people don’t want to be passionate, it’s that they are afraid to be passionate. Being passionate means letting go, which is so hard for so many because being comfortable is much easier. By letting go a person begins to strike the match igniting their internal passion and catapulting them into a more passionate existence.

A more passionate existence enhances your life and all that it encompasses including your significant other, career, family, and most importantly yourself. Once you ignite the wick that resides within you, you light up your life and illuminate the world around you with innate love. Your soul purpose then begins to surface and navigate you in the direction that best serves you.

Falling in love with who you are as an innate being is the foundation of unbridled passion. Allowing yourself to alleviate any self-criticism and to see yourself as divinely created with perfect intention. Slowly, you’ll begin to have self-acceptance for who you are, a better self-image, and the utmost respect for yourself alleviating any worthiness issues or judgment. Once you stop critiquing yourself, you’ll see that what others think of you doesn’t matter and that nobody can create your experiences but you.

It’s imperative to realize life’s a journey that’s yours to create and entrusting innate to lead will ensure success! We’re all innate beings on an innate journey and God’s intention for existence is that we’re able to create the life of our dreams.

Each individual, as the sole author of his or her own journey, is upon conception given a pen and paper to write a love letter to the world. Too many times family and friends assume the role of co-author of someone else’s journey, letting their thots, standards, expectations, and emotions dictate anothers experience. Rather, loved ones are supporting actors along for the ride. Not letting one’s external environment control his or her internal expression is key to increasing passion and falling in love with life! Being a passionate person, I can tell you that once you’ve decided to let passion take the lead, my best advice is to hang on and enjoy the ride. By definition, passion’s uncontrollable, untamable, and must be endured. So, expect to have abounding love, heightened sensations, boosted successes, and a little more turbulence at times. But, if you seek a journey that will fulfill your heart’s desire, heighten your earthly experience, elevate your consciousness, and illuminate your world with innate love, then it’s worth the ride!

So, get out your pen and begin your love letter to the world – and leave a legacy of passionate love to inspire others to do the same.

Is Your Story Serving You or Enslaving You?

In Memory of Pamela Jean Murphy Nessler, who will be forever missed for the mother, wife, daughter, sister, cousin, friend, teacher, aunt, and so much more by so many. While it was two short years I was blessed by her presence, like my father to said, “I was lucky to have known you at all”.  My mother has passed on many years agobut today I live and today I am me and she is with the Lord. I love you, Mom. Til we meet again.

My mother passed away on April 19, 1982. From what I have heard and innately know at a soul level she was a beautiful women on the inside and out, with an infectious laugh, a heart of gold, and innate ability to touch the heart of every person who had the honor of sharing a moment of time with her. As my dad so eloquently said, “I was lucky to have known her at all”, simply stated yet complexly profound. In honor of her passing, I will share how losing my mother has been a catalyst in my life rather than just another story that I tell. Losing my mother at two years and 4 months old was a pivotal point in my life because I have honored it as such, while it could have been an anchor instead it is a root that grounds me to who I am and supports the woman into whom I constantly evolve.

Every single person has had an event in his or her life that made an impact in such a way that it became a “story”. A story that they tell and re-tell to loved ones, dear friends, to anyone who will listen or just over and over via internal dialogue. Stories are very important, they are a part of the journey that leads us to our complete evolution as a human on earth. Stories are important, in compilation they make us who we are and just the same, if we allow them to take such form, they can be detrimental and keep us from truly living!

I view stories as lessons and depending on how you view it, fortunately or unfortunately, lessons are learned and sometimes they burn. Every single “story” is in your life to teach you something and to add to who you are to prepare you for what you are to do. Lessons are unavoidable but how you use the “story” of the lesson is your choice. Stories should make you and not break you nor take you from living. It’s important to ask, “Is your story serving you or enslaving you?” Stories can either be anchors or roots. Just like most things in life you can decide whether or not your story is one that serves you like a root serves a plant or enslaves you like an anchor enslaves a boat.

Anchors keep a boat from moving keeping it EXACTLY where the boat was stationed. This holds true for a story that you allow to keep you where you in a certain place in your life. Telling the same story over and over without learning the lesson of that story will stop you from growing from the experience and moving on to the next “chapter” or lesson in your life. Just like an anchor allows a boat to move a little, you may move a little but you won’t really go anywhere until you release the anchor.

Roots facilitate the growth of a plant by stabilizing and grounding it regardless of how tumultuous the condition, providing security and support. Roots are an integral part of the plant but they are not the plant, just like your story is not “who you are”. So many times people allow their story to depict who they are rather support who they have become and are continually becoming. Roots do not impede growth but rather facilitate growth. Roots also absorb nutrients and water from the soil to nurture the plant and feed the plant internally. Fertilizer provides even more nutrition to a plant, which is absorbed via the root system. Being raised on a farm I will tell you that manure is one of the best fertilizers what if we viewed all the events that seem “negative” or as we call it “shit”, as the fertilizer of life how much would we grow? The shitty stuff doesn’t seem as bad when you realize it facilitates growth and is absorbed into you at a cellular level.

The shift from anchor to root is easy if you are ready and choose to make the shift. Beginning to shift takes two words “THANK YOU”, acknowledging your gratitude for the experience. Gratitude is the most healing state one can be in it is quantum state. Quantum state is not positive or negative but simply just “is”. It is in quantum state where love grows. Remember love is the highest vibration making all things possible including healing. Start today by saying, “THANK YOU” because without each and every experience you would not be you! Stop telling your story and start living your life!

Chiropractic: Miracle vs. Expectation

Everyone loves a miracle. Miracles provide that feel good endorphin rush that just when you think a scenario has no hope of changing direction, “poof!” and God’s divine intervention shines through and the tables are turned. Have we lowered our expectations due to lack of hope in such a way that expectations are often misconstrued as miracles?

What it is a miracle? The Webster-Merriam Dictionary defines a miracle as “an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs”. A miracle is something unexplainable that occurs, an extraordinary unexplainable event. Being stranded in a desert where there has NEVER been water and suddenly you see an oasis ahead of you or being ran over by a car and walking away with NO injuries are both perfect examples of miracles; both are instances where there was clearly divine intervention. A miracle is always unexpected and exemplifies God’s perfect intent.

Expected is the antonym of unexpected and is defined in the same dictionary as “to anticipate or look forward to the coming or occurrence of” or “to consider probable of”. Expecting something will happen is an expectation. Each year you expect the grass to turn green, the flowers to bloom, and the seasons to change because they are normal occurrences. Expectations are accompanied by a sense of knowing they too occur via the intention of God but because they are rhythmic in occurrence often they are not given the recognition of a miracle.

Expectations are of divine intention and miracles are of divine intervention. The innate function of the all-living creatures is divine intention; all living creatures possess an innate. Innate joins two cells and produces a human in 280 days, wings birds and intuitively they fly, fang animals and inherently they know to kill there own food, and gives breath and life to every living creature. All living creatures possess an inborn potential to function and heal themselves innate is the driving force. Innate delivers a mental impulse that allows for full manifestation of life, innate must be expressed.

To the educated mind the releasing of the imprisoned impulse in chiropractic is often viewed as a “chiropractic miracle”. The phrase “chiropractic miracle” is often used in such a context as, “My friend who was dying of cancer went to this chiropractor and got well. It was really a miracle!” Or “My friend’s son was born deaf and started seeing this chiropractor and now he has full hearing. It was truly a miracle. We are just so blessed.” These are just a couple of examples that exemplify how innate’s inherent manifestation is often perceived by man to be a miracle. “Chiropractic Expectation” better explains innate’s intention. “Chiropractic Expectation” reinforces the anticipation and probability that what is happening is exactly what is supposed to happen.

Knowing innate’s intention and complexity I can see where chiropractic releasing the imprisoned impulse can appear miraculous to the educated man. But, it is imperative for the preservation and progression of chiropractic that we educate and explain so that chiropractic is understood as an expectation and not a miracle. This differentiation will allow people to begin to grasp that chiropractic is not health thru divine intervention but that it facilitates full expression of innate via divine intention.

Your Genetics Are Not Your Destiny or Are They?

Dr. Martha’s Monday Morning Motivation

Monday, May 9, 2010

The majority of Americans let their genetics dictate their life.   They live with the misconception that because generations of their family who walked before them were sick and dying that they too are sick and dying.  They flood their mind with negative thoughts and they repeatedly say to themselves, limiting statements about their health, which hold them back.  The statements vary but are similar in outcome: “All males in my family have died by sixty”, “High blood pressure runs in my family”, “In my family we all have a problem with weight”, “All the women in my family get breast cancer”, and a multitude of other “standards” that individuals set for themselves.  The sad part is that these standards are limitations, which hold them back from the life they were entitled to live; all because they place all their bets on their genetics.

It’s important we understand the difference between genetics and epigenetics. Genetics deals with genes and heredity, that which is inherited from parent to offspring. Simply stated who we are comes from our ancestors, who they are makes us who we are, and their genetic history is a window into our future in terms of health.  I am not denying that our genes play a role in who we are and where we are headed. Instead I am encouraging that we begin to understand epigentics and the impact it can have our health.

Epigenetics implies that we can alter our genetics through lifestyle choices because our gene expression can be altered via changes outside our DNA sequence.  Because we can make alterations in our genetics, we can rest easy because our DNA does not have to dictate our destiny. The ability to alter our DNA and depends on the lifestyle choices we make.

Each and every day we make choices that alter our genetic make-up both positive and negative and most are directly related to that which we have learned from our MFTP (our mother, father, teachers, and preachers).  Our MFTPs are with us from our earliest days guiding us and educating us, they are our role models throughout childhood and adolescence. Their lifestyle choices have a huge impact on the lifestyle choices that we make, they set the guidelines to which we follow.

When looking at the health of our parents, our grandparents, our great grand parents and so on; it is important that we also look at the path that lead them to their destination and compare it to your current path.  Most people would be shocked to see how parallel their lifestyle runs to that of their family, therefore the similarity in their level of health is no surprise.

In order to move more towards health we need to make choices that catapult us in that direction rather than making choices that inhibit our progression toward wellness and anchor us to our genes.  Positive choices that facilitate health must be made in the foods we eat, proper movement, positive thought, and preservation of our nervous system, which controls every cell in our body.  Tracing back through negative choices you will see similarity in that of your MFTP.  If they ate processed foods you most likely do to and if channel surfing was their exercise the same most likely rings true for you.  Do you bombard yourself with negative thoughts? That is most likely how you were taught to think? If your parents believed that you slowly break down until you die then most likely you don’t believe that you were destined for an optimal life.

Believe me I am no exception to this rule.  I was raised within the medical paradigm too, which has become the American standard, but I am here to tell you that you can make the shift necessary to alter your genetics.  I have and while it has been a long road it has been a road worth traveling and a journey I continue each and every day.  The beauty of choices are that they are choices, choices that you get to make.  So what will you choose?

And remember you are not only choosing for yourself but for your offspring and theirs.  Make a shift today not only for yourself but for those whose lives you will bring into this world.

Would You Jump off a Bridge if Everyone Else Did?

Dr. Martha’s Monday Morning Motivational

Monday, April 4, 2011

As a child you may remember being asked, “Would you jump off a bridge if everyone else did?” This statement was usually the response you received when wanting to do what everyone else was doing or having made a decision based off of your friends and not common sense.  Your response to your parents probably coincided with your personality or mood and ranged from: “No!” “Yes, I would.” “It depends on how high the bridge is…” or some other creative response depending on your level of sarcasm.  Regardless of your given verbal response the internal response was “No way! That’s a stupid question.” Whether or not you would jump off the bridge was meant to get you thinking.  It was more of a “use your head better” metaphor.

In my thirties, I find myself becoming more and more like my dad.  Making sure I get to bed on time, budgeting, running businesses, cleaning the house, being rational, and many other things that scare me for a second and then I realize maturing is a good thing.  Maturing doesn’t mean I am getting older but rather wiser.  I can stomach getting wiser!

One of the many things I realized today is that “Would you jump off a bridge if everyone else did?” is more and more prevalent EVERYDAY in my life.  I decided recently it is the perfect rhetorical question to use as a response to get people to THINK! I haven’t started saying it YET but this May is about to be the start of yet another thing I do that my father does.  Thank God he turned out OK!

I am constantly educating people on the “what to do’s” in life.  And they are shocked! Because it is different than what they were taught by there MFTPs (mother, father, teacher, preacher) and different than what everyone else is doing.  The social norm to them is less scary but this is all perception because to me the social norm is scarier as it leads down the path of sickness, disease, poverty, and negativity.

There are a few things that I personally believe it is ok to take the option less frequently picked and not jump off the bridge with everyone else.  In my opinion, there are some choices that need thought, deep thought because making the choice that everyone else in the United States makes is pretty much jumping off a bridge.  Choices regarding Healthcare/Lifestyle, Thought, and Finances are probably the tallest three bridges with the shallowest water.

Healthcare, unless you live in a Redwood tree in California and are pretty much removed from society you know that our healthcare system is on a downhill slope and is headed NOWHERE and fast! Yet, people refuse to make any necessary changes.  They keep doing the same things they have been doing and expecting change.  The lifestyle choices we make play a HUGE roll in the decline of the American healthcare system.  The irony is that when recommendations are made to stop fast food, quit diet coke, eat live and healthy foods, get regular chiropractic care, exercise, stop all vaccines and the abuse of pharmaceutical meds there is hesitation.  Personally, I don’t get it. What the average person in America is doing is not working YET they continue to do it out of fear of being different.  Yet, being different would be being healthy, see the irony?  I have decided the perfect rhetorical question to use as a response for those who question advice on healthcare and lifestyle is simple “Would you jump off a bridge if everyone else did?”

___________________________

Example:

Me: “I really think you should stop eating fast food as it has more negative than positive effects to the human body, is useless for nutritional purposes, and doesn’t decompose in landfills.”

Person: “Everyone else eats and they aren’t dead.”

Me: “They aren’t dead YET. Would you jump off a bridge if everyone else did?”

Person: “Well no that’s a stupid question.”

Me: “Define Stupid Question?”

___________________________

Thought is another bridge above shallow water.  Many people live with the misconception that their thoughts are separate from their reality.  They have no idea that their thoughts DIRECTLY affect their reality.  That when their thoughts are positive, happy, full of joy, and affirming that their life is the same and abundant.  The same holds true of negative, dark, disturbing, dreary, negative past experience thoughts hold them back and rob them of a life of abundance, keeping them in their past.

We are always reminded, as children to choose our words wisely as to not hurt others because you can’t take words back once they are said.  The same rings true today, its imperative to choose our words and just as importantly our thoughts.  Realizing the power of thoughts allows you to begin to speak your life into existence.  Your words and thoughts should be catapults as opposed to anchors that hold you in your past or keep you from growing and progressing.  Speak wisely and positively, words and thoughts matter.

___________________________

Example:

Me: “Did you know you have the ability to control the outcome of your life by the words you choose.  For example, using loving and affirming words and thought will create a life that is abundant in love and blessings.””

Person: “Sounds like hocus pocus, everyone I know speaks like I do and they are fine.  Life is what life is what it is and something you have to do.  You are weird.”

Me: “That’s where we differ I see life as a “get to” and not a “have to” because I think it’s a “get to”! See the difference?”

Person: “I am sticking to what everyone else does makes more sense.”

Me: “You have that right, life is beautiful as it is your choice.  But, if everyone jumped off a bridge would you do it because that made more sense because they were jumping or would you step out of your comfort zone?”

___________________________

Just like most areas in our life finances are one that we learn from watching others whether family, people in our sphere of influence, or just society.  The irony is that the current model that we as Americans have is not working.  As a nation we are in debt and the average person is financially floundering.  The average American has multiple credit cards with outstanding debt, has a lack of savings and what they do have saved they have in an inaccessible location until a certain age or there are penalties.  To sum it up, most have no money and the majority of those with money have no control over their finances and their money is unattainable.  Financially they are out of balance.  Having one area out of balance throws all areas out of balance whether business, finances, relationships, etc… we must retain the intricate balance to have a solid foundation for growth.

There are so many things outside of the social norm that will allow you to obtain financial balance yet people are so afraid to step out of their comfort zone.  Creating a budget is the first easy step to make sure that you are spending within your limits and not living outside your means.  Placing 10% of your paycheck into savings and always having three months salary is a great way to feel secure because you actually have security.  Using a whole life insurance policy rather than the usual 401K allows you to over fund and still have money which is accessible if an emergency arises.   The aforementioned are some simple tricks of the many out there yet people are afraid to step out and forge a path that is different from society.

Many times I give them my friend Dr. Janice Hughes book, Inspired Wealth, to help them understand that while it is a road less traveled it is the road to financial balance. (If you want more info on her book let me know.) Jumping off the financial bridge with everyone else will be sure to land you in a pool of debt make sure you don’t follow the masses on this one!

___________________________

Example:

Me: “How is your financial situation?”

Person: “Oh you know robbing Peter to pay Paul.  Thank God for my 401K!”

Me:  “You know there a lot of little adjustments you can make in terms of your finances such as whole life insurance, monthly budgeting, and saving 10%, right?

Person: “That seems a little farfetched. I appreciate it but Ill stick with the way my parents and grandparents did it!”

Me: “I get your hesitation to try something new, but I do believe it is worth a try!  I mean just because everyone jumps off a bridge doesn’t mean you will, right?”

__________________________

Just like in your childhood the statement, “would you jump off a bridge if everyone else did?” was meant to make you think about your own choices and not the choices of others the same holds true today! So, start thinking for yourself and realizing different can be good especially when it opens doors to an abundant future! Life is to be enjoyed and we are meant to live a life full of blessings.  God wants us to live our life full out and have an abundance of blessings and riches! We just have to believe that and be willing to make choices that separate us from the pack! Simply stated we have to be willing to not jump off the bridge when everyone else does!
